Message from Club President

March 2016

Rama Members,

Hope you are all looking forward to the upcoming summer season. As we prepare for the 2016 season you should be aware of some recent changes to the board structure.

John Orton has announced he will be stepping down as the President at the end of March. We would like to thank John for all of his hard work over the past several years. John has given his time, money and spirit to this club. Luckily for us he can take a good punch and keep going. There were many tasks and kind things John has done over the years that went unseen to most and for that we all thank him. A special thank you to Allison Orton for lending John to us. Enjoy your extra time with him - no take backs! Pink Speedos are non-transferrable.

Scott Buys, the current treasurer, will be stepping into the President role effective April 1. At the same time, David Shepherd will assume the treasurer responsibilities.

As we move forward in 2016 we will continue to focus on our top priorities, ensuring our facilities get the love they need and that  we offer a safe environment for our members. We have made several improvements to the pool during the offseason that are vital to the longevity of our pool such as, cleaning of the pool plaster, new caulk around the pool, leak repairs and the installation of a new hot water heater to ensure you all have warm showers. There are also improvements underway that will enhance the overall appearance of the club for opening day, including a new shade for the baby pool.

Additionally, we have created a long term planning committee that will focus on short, medium and long term projects. The objective of this committee is to put a plan into place over the next several months, so that we can begin making significant impacts to our club this upcoming offseason. If there is something you would like to see change, now is the time to speak up.
